Hi.
I am trying to refcord a prodcast that requires the user to here my voice and the voice of my screen reader.
To do this, i would most of the time set the sterio mix in the volume control to on and do the same to the microphone. But this time when i try to do this, stireo mix and microphone will not let me check them if the other is checked; for example if i turn microphone on and then try to turn the mix on, microphone will become unchecked and vise verser.
I could do with getting this sorted out, so any ideas would be great; if it helps, my card is a soundmax intergrated digital audio; ooo, i kno, i can't aford to get any better card.
Thanks, BEN.
In some cases, you'll find a 'what you hear' option available in the record control settings for your sound card/mixer.
Select it and adjust the volume accordingly.
na soz, that didn't work; any other ideas?
BEN.
Hi Ben.
To be able to record your voice and speatch synthesiser at the same time you will have to check out two things. The one you did already which is to sellect the checkbox for stereo mix which is going to record whatever comes out from your sound card such as speatch. You will also have to unmute the sound of your microphone so you will be able to hear your voice when you record but you will have to use headphones otherwise you will have feedback. But this option is not in the recording options but in playback options. So in properties you will have to make sure that the radio button saying ajust volume for playback is selected.
So the stereo mix setting is in the recording settings and the microphone one is in the playback settings. In recording settings you are right you only can sellect one at the time so you can't have stereo mix and microphone at once. I hope it helps.
